MORNING OFFERING

O Jesus, through the immaculate heart of Mary,

I offer you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.

I offer them for all the intentions of your sacred heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians.

I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all the apostles of prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

—Amen

THE CONFITEOR

I confess to Almighty God, to blessed Mary ever Virgin, to blessed Michael, the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, to all the Saints and to you, Father, that I have sinned exceedingly, in thought, word and deed, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.

Therefore I beseech the blessed Mary, ever Virgin, blessed Michael the Archangel, blessed John the Baptist, the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, all the Saints, and you, Father, to pray to the Lord our God for me.

—Amen

PRAYER OF SAINT FRANCIS

Lord, make me an instrument
of your peace.
Where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I
may not so much seek
to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood,
as to understand;
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning
that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying
That we are born to eternal life.

—Amen
